Corporate Retreats FAQs
How much does a corporate retreat cost per person?
Most retreats we plan cost between €900 and €3,000 per person for three nights, excluding flights. The final price depends on the destination, travel dates, number of nights, room sharing, hotel category and the services included, such as meeting rooms, activities, facilitation and transfers. As a guide, 4-star retreats start at around €900 per person, 5-star and exclusive-use venues at around €1,800. Tell us your group size, dates and budget, and we will send you a feasibility assessment within 48 hours.
How far in advance should we start planning?
Ideally 6 to 12 weeks ahead, and 3 to 6 months for peak season (May, June, September) or groups of more than 30 people. The earlier you book, the better the choice of venues, the rates and the time to design a programme around your goals. We can organise a retreat with as little as 2 weeks’ notice, but venue choice is limited, prices are higher and a last-minute supplement applies.
What group sizes do you work with?
We plan retreats for groups of 10 to 1,000+ participants. Small leadership teams often book boutique hotels or private villas for exclusive use, while larger groups need venues with enough rooms, meeting space and breakout areas, or several hotels coordinated as one event. Whatever your size, you work with one dedicated contact from the first call to the last transfer.
What is the difference between a team retreat, a leadership offsite and an incentive trip?
A team retreat brings a whole team together to strengthen collaboration, a leadership offsite gives the leadership team focused time for strategy and decisions, and an incentive trip rewards top performers with an exceptional experience. Many companies combine elements of all three. Not

What makes Team Retreats different from a travel agency or a hotel's events team?
Team Retreats is part of Italiaplus Travel & Events GmbH, a destination management company (DMC) with 20+ years of experience in group travel and incentives across Europe. A hotel’s events team can only sell its own property, and many agencies resell packages from third parties. We work
directly with hand-picked venues and local partners, compare options for you and take care of everything: venue, travel, programme, activities and on-site support. We are a member of VDVO – Association of German Event Planners, and your payments are protected against insolvency by R+V Versicherung.
Do you also design the content and facilitation, or only the logistics?
Both. Beyond logistics, we help you shape the agenda so the retreat delivers on its goals, from strategy sessions to team development, and on request we bring in experienced facilitators, coaches and trainers. Prefer to bring your own facilitator or run the content internally? That works too: we
create the right setting and take care of the entire organisation.
What happens if our plans change?
Every proposal includes clear cancellation and change terms, so you know your options before you book. Group size, dates and programme can be adjusted within those terms, and we recommend travel cancellation insurance for every participant. Your payments are protected by R+V
Versicherung against the tour operator’s insolvency (customer money protection under German package travel law, § 651r BGB): if we were ever unable to pay, you get back the payments you have made, and a trip already under way is completed as planned or your return journey is secured. You receive the security certificate (Sicherungsschein) with your booking confirmation. During the retreat, you can either have a dedicated contact person on site, available 24/7, who handles any changes immediately (on request), or rely on our phone support.

Our extensive background matters more than it sounds. Most of what makes a retreat work or fail is operational: contracts with suppliers who will not answer an email in English, transfer timings that hold when a flight slips, meeting rooms that turn out to be smaller than the floor plan, and a venue that looks right but is wrong for a large group. We have been solving those problems for 20+ years before the word ‘retreat’ was attached to them.
